What is the Medical Language Exam?
The Fachsprachprüfung (FSP) is an oral exam of the Medical Association that international doctors must pass to obtain medical license in Germany. The exam tests your medical German skills in typical professional situations.
The Three Exam Parts:
Part 1: Doctor-Patient Conversation
20 minutes medical history taking with a simulated patient
Part 2: Documentation
20 minutes written documentation (medical report)
Part 3: Doctor-Doctor Conversation
20 minutes patient presentation and case discussion
Requirements:
- Completed medical degree
- German skills at least B2 (recommended: C1)
- Registration with the responsible Medical Association
