Greek Weekend Course in Berlin
Learn Greek on Saturdays: compact weekend lessons – perfect for anyone without time during the week. Small groups, native-speaking teachers, central location.
Why a Greek weekend course?
The weekend course concentrates the lessons on Saturday: you learn Greek in compact sessions without the course clashing with work, university or family during the week. In small groups of 4 to 12 participants there is still plenty of time for active speaking – and over eight weeks you build up your level in a structured, lasting way.
Greek Weekend Course for Beginners and Advanced Learners
Modern Greek is spoken by around 13 million people and connects you with more than 3,000 years of linguistic history, with Greece and Cyprus. In our courses you learn the Greek alphabet, correct stress and the basics of grammar step by step from the very first lesson. From A1 to C2 we guide you systematically according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) to near-native command of Greek.
Greek Weekend Course
A1A1 – Beginner
Absolute beginners without any prior knowledge who want to learn Greek from scratch – for their next holiday, for family, for work or out of love for Greek culture.
You learn the 24 letters of the Greek alphabet and soon read your first words and signs. Along the way you practise pronunciation and stress, which Greek marks with an accent sign. You get to know the definite articles ο, η, το and the three genders, and you conjugate the most important verbs in the present tense, including είμαι (to be) and έχω (to have). This lets you introduce yourself, count, ask for directions and order in a taverna in Greek.
What you will learn:
- Read and write the Greek alphabet confidently and stress words correctly
- Introduce yourself with Με λένε … and ask and answer simple questions about name, origin and job
- Use the articles ο, η, το and the three genders correctly with common nouns
- Conjugate regular verbs as well as είμαι and έχω in the present tense
- Understand numbers, times and prices and order and shop in cafés, tavernas and shops
