A1.1Elementary I
For participants with no prior knowledge
In this course, you start from zero and learn the basics of the German language. You'll be able to introduce yourself, ask and answer simple questions, master numbers and letters, and form first sentences for everyday life.

Completion of A1 level

Questions About the German Intensive Course
Our German intensive course takes place daily from Monday to Thursday, 3 hours per day over a period of 4 weeks. This adds up to 64 teaching units — an intensive package of German that helps you make rapid progress and achieve lasting results. Daily intensive repetition promotes language development most effectively. Our curriculum covers all aspects of German: listening and reading comprehension as well as speaking and writing. Varied exercises, constant interaction and interesting topics ensure that you not only make quick progress but also have fun learning.
You can choose from three time slots: mornings from 08:30 to 11:30, midday from 11:45 to 14:45, or afternoons from 15:00 to 18:00. This way you can find the schedule that best fits your daily routine.
We offer German intensive courses for levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1. Classification follows the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). A1 is the beginner level, A2 corresponds to basic knowledge, and from C1 you have advanced language competence. If you don't know your current level, take our free placement test — for beginners (A1/A2) and for advanced learners (B1/B2).
A German intensive course is particularly suitable if you want to use your holidays to take your German to the next level, if you want to find a job in Germany as quickly as possible, or if you want to make great progress in a short time. Our intensive courses take place in small groups of 4 to a maximum of 12 participants — typically around 5 participants. Due to the small group size, you actively participate in learning activities such as role plays and discussions, apply what you've learned directly and make rapid progress. Regular speaking practice in particular will help you greatly with your learning.
All our teachers are experienced, native-speaking educators who teach you accent-free standard German. We carefully select our teaching staff — they convey the subject matter professionally and guide you through the entire learning process. Learn more about our team on the teachers page.
Our curriculum focuses on all aspects of German: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing. This includes lively language application, active comprehension exercises, dynamic grammar introduction and varied written expression practice. If you want to deepen your grammar skills specifically, we recommend our supplementary grammar course.
From level B2.1, our German intensive courses place increased emphasis on German for the workplace. In addition to general German language use, you will learn professional applications: vocabulary and phrases for everyday work life, for emails, presentations and phone calls in German. This prepares you for your career and your new life in Germany. Those who want to prepare even more intensively can also find Business German courses and job application training.

If 4 days per week is too much for you, we also offer a German evening course: 2 evenings per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 18:15–21:15) over 8 weeks — also 64 teaching units, just spread over a longer period. Alternatively, you can book private lessons which you can start flexibly at any time, or our conversation course to deepen your speaking practice.
